Head of Communications

The Head of Communications will lead and develop GMS, which includes external comms, PR, and internal comms. This role is instrumental in shaping our company’s reputation and building a global brand and product awareness among key stakeholders – clients (MNOs, Enterprises), partners, industry associations, analysts, media, etc. worldwide.

What you’ll do:

1. Communications Strategy:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy with a focus on building global brand awareness and enhancing the company`s image and reputation worldwide. Comms strategy should be aligned with business and brand strategies.
  • Construct a unified company narrative, which entails a deep understanding of the company’s products, objectives, and story.
  • Develop and regularly update key corporate and product messages to ensure brand consistency.
  • Effectively communicate across all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, making necessary adjustments in alignment with market and company evolutions.


2. Media Relations (Press Office):

  • Develop relationships with key journalists, influencers, thought leaders, associations, and industry analysts. Might be done with the help of a PR agency.
  • Define key messages and create a media list and list of speakers to convey these messages.
  • Set up media monitoring and measurements to gauge brand awareness and reputation, also keeping an eye on potential crisis triggers.
  • Partner with the Chairman, CEO, CxOs, and other internal stakeholders on key comms activities, including thought leadership opportunities.
  • Guide communication strategies during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring smooth brand and cultural integration. Serve as the liaison for external and internal communications related to M&A activities.


3. Thought Leadership:

  • Cultivate strong relationships and engagement with industry associations, analysts, and awards bodies, ensuring the company’s active involvement in key discussions and recognition platforms.
  • Prepare speeches and brief speakers for participation in panels, discussions, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company narratives.
  • Effectively utilize produced content for promotion and thought leadership positioning, while continually monitoring industry trends and conversations.


4. Anti-crisis Communications:

  • Develop and maintain an anti-crisis communication plan, including possible consultation with external parties.
  • Ensure all key spokespersons (Chairman, CEO, CxOs) are well-prepared and briefed before and during crisis situations.
  • Regularly monitor media, online conversations, and industry sentiments to detect early signals and potential issues, implementing preemptive measures when possible.


5. Internal Communications:

  • Establish a systematic approach to keeping internal stakeholders informed about corporate updates, industry trends, and association developments while ensuring alignment with external messaging and branding.
  • Develop and enhance internal communication platforms, ensuring they serve as effective mediums for internal updates and dialogues.
  • Develop and implement key projects to support internal comms objectives.
  • Work closely with HR to define shared responsibilities and align corporate production and events with the internal communication strategy.


6. Team Leadership:

  • Team Management: Hire, lead, and mentor the Communications team members.
  • External Partners: cooperate with PR agencies and freelancers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and consistent message delivery.
  • Budget Management: Construct and oversee the PR agency, communications, awards, and industry associations’ budget, ensuring effective use of resources.


What we expect:

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in public relations and industry relations, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in B2B tech sector.
  • Established relationships with media, analysts, and industry associations in tech, telecom, and enterprise CPaaS/CXaaS sectors is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in crisis management and PR strategies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of PR tools and software.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%).
