A field of artificial intelligence and computer science, which aims at automating complex tasks. It involves devising methods for a machine to “learn” from data it receives, in order to better identify patterns and solve problems. In the context of telecommunications, this covers network optimization and security, especially in identifying fraudulent or grey-routed traffic.
